The M&E assignment assessed not just the quality of program outputs but also addressing the impact on disaster risk management of the businesses engaged by the program. Developed, trained and transferred to TAF a database system to monitor the participation of the business sector in the program to participate in disaster risk reduction and prevention activities.
Institutional capacity assessment of Central Committee for Flood and Storm Control (CCFSC) at the central level and CFSC at the provincial level to provide concrete recommendations and feasible plan of actions to MARD in strengthening the capacity of the CFSC system to embrace a comprehensive disaster risk management approach following the law and as part of the priority action in the national strategy until 2020. The assignment is under the framework of Strengthening Capacity for Disaster Management Project funded by UNDP.
Identify relevant issues, gaps, limitations, etc., which needs additions and improvement and to recommend solutions accordingly, focusing on (i) the system of templates and tools for data collection and analysis and reporting and guidelines on monitoring and supervision of the Project indicators; and (ii) the system of templates and tools for data collection and analysis and reporting and guidelines on the program quality monitoring and supervision.
Development a web-based M&E system/database for COHED, and training on organisational M&E for COHED staff. Hand-on experience on management of the internal M&E system is also provided to the organisation.

Training and planning workshops for various groups involved in policy advocacy for institutional reform in Viet Nam: - Capacity building and strategic planning for journalists and a network of mass media in dealing with the land management reform process, including revision of the current Land Law. - Capacity building and strategic planning for policy advocacy coalitions (Land Management Coalition, Forest Land Coalition, Mineral Coalition, Urban Planning Coalition). Support the development of media engagement strategy for policy advocacy.
